California Highway Patrol units in Porterville responded to several crashes Thursday morning amid heavy fog, including a two-vehicle collision where no injuries were reported.

CHP officials urged drivers to slow down, use low-beam headlights instead of parking lights, avoid crossing traffic lanes, and refrain from stopping on the roadway unless it’s an emergency.

Authorities also recommended delaying travel until visibility improves, noting that fog can significantly reduce sight distance and increase stopping distance.
