The Madera County Sheriff’s Office has arrested a 41-year-old Madera man on multiple child exploitation charges following a parole compliance check, authorities said.
Sheriff’s officials said Tommy Raymond Aguilar, a parolee and registered sex offender, was arrested Wednesday after detectives conducted a compliance check in the area of Ellis and North D streets with assistance from the Central California Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force and California State Parole Agents.
Investigators said Aguilar was arrested on charges related to the distribution and possession of more than 600 images of child sexual abuse material. He was booked into the Madera County Jail.
Authorities said all electronic devices associated with Aguilar were seized and will be examined as part of the ongoing investigation.
A photo of the suspect is not posted due to California Penal Code 13665, officials noted.
