The Madera County Sheriff’s Office is asking for the public’s help to locate the next of kin of a 77-year-old man who died earlier this month.

Carlos Arevalo, of Madera, died on Jan. 4, according to the sheriff’s office. Authorities said they have been unable to locate his family despite ongoing efforts.

Investigators said Arevalo previously lived in Los Angeles County before becoming a resident of Madera County.
