Caltrans plans to close a westbound Highway 180 on-ramp at Cedar Avenue in Fresno on Wednesday for pavement striping operations.

The closure is scheduled from 9 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., according to the California Department of Transportation. During that time, the existing carpool lane along the on-ramp will be converted into a general-purpose lane.

Motorists are advised to plan accordingly and use alternate routes while the work is underway.

Caltrans said closures could last longer if delays occur due to weather or other uncontrollable events. All work is weather permitting.

Maintenance workers are reminding drivers to slow down, drive with extra caution and allow additional travel time when passing through the maintenance area.

Motorists are also urged to watch for road maintenance personnel and “Slow for the Cone Zone.”
