GV Wire’s David Taub discussed Fresno City Council’s first meeting of the year with KMPH Fox 26 “Great Day” anchor Liz Gonzalez, previewing agenda items that include the selection of a new City Council president, a request by City Attorney Andrew Janz for raises for executive assistants, and a proposed expansion of a consulting contract for former councilmember Blong Xiong.
The public meeting is scheduled for 9 a.m. at City Hall, 2600 Fresno St. in Fresno.
