Clovis police have arrested a suspect in connection with the city’s second homicide of 2025.

Just before 3:30 a.m. Wednesday, a Clovis officer patrolling near Ashlan and Villa avenues discovered an adult male deceased in the parking lot near the Fresno County Child Protective Services building.

Detectives and crime scene personnel responded to investigate and collect evidence.

The investigation led authorities to a suspect in Fresno, who was taken into custody without incident.

The victim’s identity has not been released as officials continue efforts to notify family members.
