The California Department of Transportation will close sections of Highway 41 next week for asphalt pavement maintenance, officials said on Thursday.

Southbound Highway 41 will be fully closed Monday from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. near the bridge deck at Murphy Slough, with closures beginning at Elkhorn Avenue and ending at Harlan Avenue.

Northbound Highway 41 will be closed Tuesday during the same hours in the same area.

Motorists are advised to plan alternate routes and allow extra travel time. Closures could be extended if weather or other events delay maintenance. Caltrans urged drivers to exercise caution and follow “Slow for the Cone Zone” guidelines.
