Ford is recalling 229,609 Bronco vehicles in the U.S. due to a failure in the instrument panel display, such as warning lights or vehicle speed, the U.S. National Highway Traffic Safety Administration said on Wednesday.
The regulator said the instrument panel’s software will be updated by a dealer or through an over-the-air (OTA) update, free of charge.
Separately, the Mustang maker is also recalling 20,558 of its hybrid vehicles due to a manufacturing defect in its high-voltage battery cells, which could result in battery failure.
Last month, the automaker recalled 79,781 vehicles in the U.S. due to risks that interior panels near the front doors could detach and rear lights might stop working.
