Ciabatta is as sweet as they come. Her temperament is gentle and quiet.
She is incredibly patient with her babies, often letting them eat their fill of wet food first before having any or letting them play with her tail even when she’s not in the mood.
Eleven-month-old Ciabatta is not super cuddly, but she does enjoy pretending to be your shadow. She’ll follow you around everywhere in the house and can often be found watching from high up in a cat tree.
When Ciabatta is in the mood to play, her favorite toy is a catnip mouse. Her kitten side comes out when she has an open space to chase around toys or a break in a brand-new scratching post.
Ciabatta’s Backstory
Showing up very pregnant at an apartment belonging to someone she must have known had connections to The Cat House, Ciabatta planned ahead for her kittens because she knew the streets were too dangerous for them.
Fortunately we had fosters with space that could juggle taking in a mama cat with a newborn litter. Psst, The Cat House always needs more foster homes for the sake of the many Ciabattas!
Knowing how to survive without a caretaker is completely different when only taking care of yourself. Ciabatta’s reserve kept her safe so she needs patience and understanding. Ciabatta would probably do best in a quiet home with a gentle owner that gives her plenty of time and space to warm up to her surroundings.
She is OK with other cats, but very unsure about dogs. She would be great to watch “Flow” with!
