The Madera County Sheriff’s Office, with assistance from the U.S. Marshals Service, executed a search warrant Thursday at a residence on Phillip Way in Tesoro Viejo, resulting in two arrests.

Shortly before 8 a.m., deputies targeted a wanted individual and potential firearms at the home.

A male juvenile was taken into custody without incident and faces multiple charges, including assault with a machine gun on a peace officer and resisting arrest.

Also arrested was Elizabeth Green, 35, a Madera resident, after detectives with the Madera County Special Enforcement Team found evidence of identity theft during the investigation.

The regional SWAT team was deployed due to the presence of firearms, and a School Resource Deputy was stationed at nearby Hillside Elementary as a precaution.

Officials emphasized that the school was never in danger.

“Operations like this demonstrate the importance of collaboration with our law enforcement partners at every level,” Sheriff Tyson Pogue said.
