Caltrans will conduct asphalt paving operations along State Route 180 near Hume Lake on Wednesday and Thursday from 6:30 a.m. to 5 p.m., officials announced.

The work will take place under one-way traffic control from just east of Abbott Creek to west of Princess Campground.

Maintenance crews will pave within the closure limits, and motorists should expect delays and plan accordingly, Caltrans said.

Closures may last longer each day depending on weather or other uncontrollable events, with operations continuing as conditions permit.

Construction crews will manage one-way traffic using flagging personnel and a pilot vehicle to guide motorists safely through the work zone. Caltrans urged drivers to follow flaggers’ directions and stay alert for maintenance vehicles.
