The Fresno County Sheriff-Coroner’s Office is asking for the public’s help to locate relatives of Carmen Perez, 97, who died Aug. 11 at a Fresno nursing home.

Deputies said staff have searched personal records but have been unable to find any family members.

Locating immediate relatives is necessary before the Coroner’s Unit can release Perez’s body and allow for a proper burial.

Anyone with information about Perez’s family is asked to contact the Coroner’s Unit at (559) 600-3400 or email coroner@fresnosheriff.org.
