San Francisco is 2-0 heading into Week 3 of the NFL season thanks to a hard-fought 26-21 road triumph over the New Orleans Saints.
As the 49ers start gearing up for an NFC West battle of unbeatens against the Arizona Cardinals (2-0), San Francisco has a number of performances to celebrate coming out of its win over the Saints.
Here’s a look at some of the best performances from San Francisco’s Week 2 win over New Orleans:
Mac Jones
Pressed into duty after Brock Purdy’s toe injury, Mac Jones demonstrated why he his two-year, $8.41 million deal this offseason was a bargain signing.
Making his 51st career NFL start, Jones delivered what every franchise hopes it has in its backup quarterback: Someone who can keep the offense rolling and go win a football game.
Jones was largely great on Sunday. The 6-foot-3 quarterback completed 26-of-39 passes for 279 yards with three touchdown passes.
Christian McCaffrey
Christian McCaffrey totaled 107 yards of offense and found the end zone on a seven-yard touchdown reception. Having McCaffrey back healthy is gigantic for San Francisco.
Luke Farrell
With superstar tight end George Kittle on the IR, the 49ers have now seen Jake Tonges and Luke Farrell record their first career NFL touchdowns in consecutive weeks. This 11-yard strike to Farrell helped set the tone for the day.
Jauan Jennings
Jauan Jennings got loose for what proved to be the game-winning score early in the fourth quarter on this 42-yard touchdown grab. Jennings finished with a team-high 89 receiving yards on five catches.
Fred Warner
In a career full of performances like these, Fred Warner was just awesome on Sunday. Warner just ripped the football away from Saints running back Alvin Kamara to come away with the 49ers’ lone takeaway on the day.
But, Warner was all over the place. Warner finished with 11 tackles, a tackle for loss and a pass breakup.
Bryce Huff
Bryce Huff called game with this one. There aren’t many things better than a strip-sack to go win a football game if you’re a defensive lineman. A nice punctuation on the 49ers’ second win of 2025.
