Meet General, an 85-pound (well, maybe closer to 90) bilingual sweetheart who’s stealing hearts and shaking paws in Fresno.
The three-year-old rescue pup, currently available for adoption through Mell’s Mutts, has quickly become a staff favorite thanks to his smarts, charm, and seriously impressive language skills. Yes, you read that right — General knows commands in both English and Spanish.
“General is such an amazing dog,” Mell Garcia, founder of Mell’s Mutts, said. “He is super loving and absolutely loves people.”

Now fixed, vaccinated, and ready for his next adventure, General is all about the love. He’s great with people, gets along well with other dogs, and has already mastered sit and shake.
All that’s missing? A forever family with room for one very good, slightly oversized boy who can understand “sit” and “sentado.”
