Fresno police detectives have recovered over $1.2 million worth of stolen property from a series of burglaries and are asking the public to help locate a suspect, the Fresno Police Department said in a statement.

Investigators focused on three burglaries at a business near Pontiac Way and Winery Avenue between December 2024 and February 2025.

On Feb. 18, 2024, Fresno detectives traveled to Oakland and Richmond to execute five search warrants related to these burglaries, with assistance from the Richmond Police Department, U.S. Marshals, and California Highway Patrol’s Organized Retail Crimes Task Force.

The recovered property included goods stolen from the business, as well as illegally purchased tobacco products from out of state. Detectives also seized $400,000 in the operation.

The suspect, Julio Merino, 25, is wanted for multiple charges, including stolen vehicle, grand theft, burglary, vandalism, and conspiracy.
