A 21-year-old man was arrested Tuesday after leading Kings County sheriff’s deputies on a high-speed chase through farm fields and orchards, the Kings County Sheriff’s Office said in a statement.

The Kings County Sheriff’s Office-Air Support Unit, “Air 2,” spotted an off-road motorcycle recklessly traveling on surface streets in Armona.

Deputies attempted to stop the rider, but he fled off-road at high speed, officials said.

The sheriff’s air unit tracked the suspect for about 15 minutes until he ran out of gas near 16th and Fargo avenues.

Deputies then arrested Alejandro Miranda without incident.

He was booked into the Kings County Jail, and the motorcycle was towed.
