Two students suffered minor injuries Thursday morning in a crash involving a Golden Valley Unified School District bus, according to the California Highway Patrol.

A Golden Valley Unified School bus was involved in an accident, leading to two students being sent to the hospital on Thursday, Feb. 13, 2025 (CHP)

The three-vehicle collision occurred around 7:18 a.m. at the intersection of Avenue 12 and Road 32.

Authorities said a 2014 Kenworth semi-truck skidded while attempting to stop for traffic, striking a 2013 GMC Terrain and pushing it into the path of the school bus, which was making a turn.

The bus, carrying 29 students, was hit on its left side.

An 18-year-old and a 16-year-old student were transported to Valley Children’s Hospital with complaints of pain, authorities said.

Officials said alcohol and drugs were not suspected factors in the crash.
