Moving company Meathead Movers will be filling up trucks with supplies to send to Los Angeles to help the tens of thousands of people displaced by the fires.

The company is asking for packaged toiletries and water as they fill up trucks to donate to Operation USA, an international disaster relief organization, according to a news release. They will distribute the disaster kits to fire victims.

“We have executed dozens of donation drives to #FillThoseTrucks for natural disasters and humanitarian crises,” said Aaron Steed, CEO of Meathead Movers. “In true Meathead tradition, when one of our communities needs support, we use our resources to help!”

They want unopened items with an expiration date of at least 12 months from Friday.

Items include:

  • Hand Towels
  • Baby Wipes
  • Bottled Water

They will consider other donations as well, the release stated. The donation will go from Friday through Monday. Donated goods can be brought to the lobby of any Meathead Movers locations in central and southern California.

United in Spirit: A Showcase of Support to Benefit LA County Wildfire Victims

A special fundraiser event, United in Spirit: A Showcase of Support, will be held on Saturday at 4 p.m. in the Reyburn Gym.

Teams from Central Unified, Clovis East, and Clovis West high schools will be showing off their performances.

The free event will feature local cheer and song/pom performances by area athletes, showcasing their hard work while raising funds for a greater cause.

Proceeds from donations collected during the event will go directly to the American Red Cross, supporting wildfire relief efforts in LA County.

The fundraiser aims to provide aid to individuals and families affected by the recent devastating wildfires.

The community is invited to attend and show their support for those in need.
