The Fresno County Sheriff-Coroner’s Office is requesting assistance from the public in locating the family of a Fresno man who recently passed away.

Jalal Tantash, 87, died of natural causes on Dec. 15 at a local medical facility.

Despite efforts to locate his relatives through personal records, staff at the Coroner’s Office have been unable to identify or reach any immediate family members.

The Coroner’s Unit must locate next of kin to release Tantash’s remains for a proper burial, officials said.

Anyone with information about Tantash or his family is urged to contact the Coroner’s Unit at (559) 600-3400 or via email at coroner@fresnosheriff.org.
