The U.S. Embassy in Moscow is advising American citizens to leave Russia immediately due to security risks stemming from the ongoing conflict in Ukraine.

The Kremlin has dismissed the embassy’s warnings, labeling them as “not new.”

Next week, February 24, will mark one year since Russia launched its invasion of Ukraine.
