Two men survived a severe crash earlier this week after their car launched over a 20-foot-wide canal and struck an almond tree in rural Fresno County, CHP Fresno reported on social media.

The car, which flipped midair and traveled between 60 and 80 feet upside down, ejected both occupants upon impact.
They were found four to five hours later, injured and unable to call for help, by a local farmer, authorities said.
The CHP identified neither the men nor the exact location of the crash.

The passenger, who was not wearing a seatbelt, suffered broken bones, while the driver, despite wearing a seatbelt, was also ejected, the CHP said.
Authorities believe speed and alcohol may have led to the crash.
