Darshan Dhanjan, 71, of Fresno, was sentenced on Thursday to 77 years to life for the murders of Rajbir Kaur, 62, and Ravinder Singh, 59, both of Fresno.
Dhanjan was also sentenced for making criminal threats against a third victim.
He pleaded guilty to all counts and aggravating factors on July 18, 2024, the Fresno County District Attorney’s Office stated in a news release.

The homicides were discovered on Sept. 9, 2018, when Fresno police responded to a shooting at a residence. Officers found Kaur and Singh unresponsive with gunshot wounds.
Dhanjan shot and killed his sons-in-law while they were watching television in their shared home, according to court records. Dhanjan then threatened to kill their daughter after she discovered the bodies, but she fled the scene.

He was apprehended later that day and booked into Fresno County Jail.
Senior Deputy DA Kelly Smith prosecuted the case.
