“We are thrilled to witness the incredible creativity and talent showcased in this year’s Film Race,” said CMAC’ production specialist Ben Cruz. “The Film Race continues to inspire and celebrate the innovative spirit of our community, and we couldn’t be prouder of the work that has been accomplished.”
The CMAC 72-Hour Film Race is a competition where local filmmakers race against the clock to produce captivating short films in three days. Participants are challenged to incorporate unique prompts and props, pushing their imaginative boundaries and technical skills. Horn Photo sponsored the competition.
This is the first film race hosted by CMAC since 2018. More than 50 local filmmakers and media creators, comprising 29 production teams, submitted videos.

The screening will include films from all categories. Prizes will be awarded for the best submissions, including cash awards of $500 for first place, $250 for second place, and $100 for third place, as well as a $250 gift card for the Youth Category winner.
