The city of Fresno is offering a way for senior citizens to beat the heat and enjoy a blast from the past by providing free tickets for select showings of classic movies.
The cool-down films will be shown at the Regal Clovis 8 Movies, 2301 Villa Ave. in Clovis.

Classic Films Include ‘Casablanca’ and ‘Singin’ in the Rain’
Admission is free for seniors 60 and over, during the select three daily showings.Ā The classic films include “Casablanca,” “Singin’ in the Rain,” and “Bringing Up Baby.”
They’re also offering discounted snacks. This entertainment special is a partnership among the city of Fresno, Regal Cinemas, and the One Fresno Foundation.
The Lineup
The showings will begin on Monday and run for two weeks. Here is the list of movies and times:
Week One: July 22-28
Monday, Wednesday, Friday, Sunday
12 pm, 4:30 pm – “Casablanca”
2:15 pm – “Singin’ in the Rain”
Tuesday, Thursday, Saturday
12 pm, 4:30pm – “Singin’ in the Rain”
2:15 pm – “Casablanca”
Week Two: July 29-Aug. 4
Monday, Wednesday, Friday, Sunday
12 pm, 4:30 pm – “Adventures of Robin Hood”
