Join the Fourth of July festivities with community-led — and often free — events near you, including firework shows, parades, barbecues, and more.
The Valley is not short on celebrations, spanning from Saturday, June 29, to Monday, July 8, and providing residents with safe, affordable, and fun ways to celebrate Independence Day.
Check out all that’s being offered below, and find events near you.
Fresno
Granite Park, which was packed last year, is hosting its annual Independence Day Celebration. Coordinators recommend you get to the park early, around 6 p.m., to secure a spot.

The Fresno Grizzlies tells residents to prepare for a “star-spangled spectacular” at their upcoming Fourth of July game. Join the team for a night of baseball and their Firework Extravaganza, an event that promises an unforgettable firework display. Buy your tickets here.
Cornerstone Church hosts the Celebrate America Car Show on Sunday, June 30, at the Fresno Fairgrounds. Organizers bill their fireworks show as “the largest in the Valley.” More information here.
Island Water Park will hold firework displays on July 3-4. The park encourages the community to enjoy a day of waterslides and end the night with a dazzling firework show. Buy your tickets here.
The 21st annual Freedom Run presented by Sierra Challenge Express Running Club will be held on July 4 at Woodward Park. The event will kick off Independence Day with multiple running events including a 4-mile run, 2 mile run/walk, and a 100 meter and ¼ mile dash for children. Atwater
The Merced Running Club and On Your Mark Events are once again hosting the Atwater Run for Independence at Ralston Park. The event will begin at 7:30am on July 4th and include a 2-mile run/walk and 5-mile run, with runners receiving awards based on age group. Participation tickets, which include a race t-shirt and post run refreshments, are available here.
The Atwater 4th of July Parade will be held at Ralston Park, Atwater at 9am. After that Atwater’s 61st annual festival will begin and last until 4pm. These events are free to the public.
The Atwater Firework Show will begin at 6pm at the Castle Air Base Parade Grounds and last until 10pm. This will include a concert featuring “Flashback”. Tickets are $15 per car and $5 per person. Gates for the fireworks show close at 9pm.
Bass Lake
The Pines Resort in Bass Lake will hold a celebration, including live entertainment from the Marie Wilson Band. The event includes a BBQ buffet dinner, full bar, family games, party favors, and a firework show over the water. Doors open at 5:30 p.m. and fireworks start at 9 p.m. More information and tickets here.

Clovis is set to host the annual Freedom Fest at Lamonica Stadium on July 4. The event will include food, entertainment, activities for all ages, and an explosive fireworks display. More information here.

Tachi Palace Casino Resort will hold a free Fourth of July celebration beginning at 6 p.m. There will be live music, food vendors, and fireworks at 9:15 p.m. Guests are welcome to bring lawn chairs or use the bleachers located in parking lot No. 2. No glass or alcoholic beverages allowed.
Kingsburg
Livingston
Livingston is set to host its annual July 4th Festival over several days at the Max Foster Sports Complex. Festivities will include a carnival, live entertainment, and vendors. There will be a Fireworks show on July 5 at 9:30 p.m. Entry is free. Parking costs $6 per day. The carnival is $35 in advance and $45 day of. Tickets can be purchased at Livingston City Hall. The annual Freedom Fest on Saturday, June 29, will include over 40 food and craft vendors, musical entertainment from DJ Swift, and a Spray Zone which will provide opportunities to cool off throughout the event. To finish off the celebration, the firework display will begin at 9:00 PM. Remember to bring your blankets and lawn chairs and enjoy a summer evening with friends and family.

The 24th annual Shaver Lake Fireworks is a free event that welcomes all visitors. The Patriot Boat Parade will begin at 6:30 p.m. and fireworks will start at dark.
Tulare
Visalia
The city of Visalia will hold the Independence Specular at the Riverway Sports Park soccer fields from 6:30 p.m to 10:30 p.m. The event is free and open to all ages, and will feature games, food, vendors, a beer garden, and live music from country artist Annie Bosko. The night will end with two drone light shows at 9 p.m. and 10 p.m.
