During Memorial Day weekend, former U.S. ambassador to the United Nations Nikki Haley wrote “Finish them!” on an Israeli military artillery shell during her visit to Israel as reported by Yahoo News. That same weekend, Israel launched airstrikes near Rafah in the Gaza Strip, where more than half of the Palestinian population has been displaced since the war began eight months ago.
Haley, who lost the 2024 Republican nomination to Donald Trump, visited a community attacked by Hamas on Oct. 7, just 24 hours after an Israeli strike killed 45 Palestinians at a displaced encampment. She also wrote “America ♥️ Israel!” on the shell.

Haley’s call for decisive action against Hamas aligns with her past statements. In an October Fox News interview, she urged Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu to “finish them,” blaming Hamas and Iran for the conflict.

In a Tuesday interview with Israel Hayom, Haley encouraged Israel to ignore President Biden’s restrictions on Gaza and continue fighting until Hamas is eliminated, affirming unconditional U.S. support for Israel. As of today, the Gaza health ministry reports 36,224 Palestinian deaths since Oct. 7.
