The Central Valley is about to become Comedy Central with legendary comic/television icon Jerry Seinfeld and TV/radio host/comedian Adam Carolla performing in Fresno.
If you’re looking for music excellence, check out Mexican singer Luis Miguel or Drum Tao. For hip-hop fans, Tee Grizzly will bring the flow.
Here’s a look at this week’s big events, which start with Seinfeld on Thursday night.
Jerry Seinfeld
Many of us know the “Seinfeld” name because of his eponymous sitcom that ranks among the greatest in history. He’s appearing Thursday night at the Saroyan Theatre.
However, he was a stand-up comedian long before headlining his primetime network program. He and writing partner Larry David (“Curb Your Enthusiasm”) based the show around his jokes.
Comedy Central named him the 12th-greatest stand-up comedian of all time. He also co-produced, co-wrote, and starred in the 2007 film “Bee Movie” and is the creator and host of the web series “Comedians in Cars Getting Coffee” (2012–2019). He’s received 20 Primetime Emmy Award nominations, winning once, and four Grammy Award nominations for comedy albums.
Be on the lookout for his directorial debut, “Unfrosted.” The film is set to premiere on Netflix on May 3.

Adam Carolla
The name of the tour for comedian, actor, radio personality, television host and NY Times best-selling author Adam Carolla is “UNPREPARED.”
But the multi-faceted Carolla is anything but that. Adam improvises a brand-new stand-up act nightly based on one-word audience suggestions pulled at random — hence the theme of the tour being … unprepared. No matter what’s thrown at him, expect Carolla to make it hilarious. This will all go down at the Tower Theatre on Friday.
He’s made a career of busting people up with his partners Daniel Kellison and Jimmy Kimmel. Adam created and starred in two hit Comedy Central shows that are considered classics, “The Man Show” (1999-2003) and “Crank Yankers” (2002‐2005).
It all started when he was on the nationally syndicated radio program “Loveline” with Dr. Drew Pinsky. MTV then developed a television version of the show, with Adam and Dr. Drew co-hosting for five seasons (1996-2000).
He’s even been involved in auto racing documentaries with “Winning: The Racing Life Of Paul Newman,” “Uppity: The Willy T. Ribbs Story” and “The 24 Hour War,” examining the battle between Ford and Ferrari in the 1960s for racing dominance at Le Mans.
He’s now a big voice in the podcasting world. Brash and telling it how it is, no matter the subject, “The Adam Carolla Show” podcast receives more than 30 million downloads a month.

Luis Miguel
The man who they refer to as “El Sol de Mexico” (The Sun of Mexico) will sing his heart out for a Save Mart Center crowd on Saturday.
Miguel was the best-selling Latin artist in the 1990s when he popularized the bolero genre in the mainstream market. He has sold about 60 million records worldwide and is the highest-grossing Latino touring artist ever with a total of $278.5 million.
He can sing all genres and styles: pop, ballads, boleros, tangos, jazz, big band, and mariachi. He’s been doing this since he was 14.
Among his accomplishments: his first Grammy made him one of the youngest Grammy-winning artists in music history; in 1991, the RIAA recognized the success of his 1991 album “Romance” as one of the best-selling Latin albums of all time; was the first Latino artist to earn two platinum certifications for Spanish-language albums in the United States; and the artist with the most top-10 hits on Billboard’s Hot Latin Songs chart.
Great songs, compelling performances. It doesn’t matter if the song is in English or Spanish, a Luis Miguel concert figures to be an amazing experience.

Drum Tao
Drum Tao provides a unique visual and audio presentation. They’re a troupe that combines traditional Japanese drum and dance while incorporating Korean, Maori, and Indonesian influence.
A feast for the eyes and ears, they utilize flute, marimba, and harp with the drum ensemble, along with high-octane choreography, and top-notch athleticism.
They started in 1993 and have attracted 9 million people to their concerts. Among their accomplishments: the “Outstanding Cultural Contribution” from Oita prefecture; “Culture Creators Award” from Taketa city in Oita prefecture, “The 6th Japan Tourism Agency Commissioner Award”; “Minister for Internal Affairs and Communications Award” from the Japanese government.

Tee Grizzley
Hip hop artist Tee Grizzley (Terry Sanchez Wallace Jr.) went from internet sensation to chart-topping success while working with some of the hottest names in his genre. He started in Detroit like most starving rappers by making and selling mixtapes. He’s moved up to the big time and has the records to prove it.
His debut studio album, “Activated” (2018) peaked at No. 10 on the Billboard 200, while his second and third albums, “Scriptures” (2019) and “Built for Whatever” (2021) peaked at Nos. 20 and 15, respectively. With his fourth album, “Tee’s Coney Island” (2023), the lead single, “IDGAF” entered the Billboard Hot 100.
He’s worked with Timbaland, Chris Brown, Meek Mill, and Lil Yachty, to name a few. He’ll bring his flows to Club Encore on Saturday.
