The leader who helped drive Marjaree Mason Center’s transformation has now taken a position to help strengthen another local nonprofit — the Boys & Girls Clubs of Fresno County.

As chief impact officer with the Boys & Girls Club, Nicole Linder will help develop revenue strategies, build community and philanthropic relations, and communicate impact of programs at the nonprofit, according to a news release from the organization.

“It is an honor to join the Boys & Girls Clubs of Fresno County and build on its exceptional record of strengthening the lives of children and youth,” Linder said in the release. “I look forward to working alongside CEO (Jason) Hannold and the board to expand our reach, deepen our impact, and create an even stronger future for the communities we serve.”

Linder Has History of Building Nonprofits

Established 76 years ago, the Boys & Girls Club of Fresno County connects youth, especially disadvantaged youth, to different learning and recreational activities. Children get educational opportunities and workforce development skills through a variety of programs.

After starting in a small building in west Fresno, the organization expanded to include now 14 clubhouses across the county.

As CEO of Marjaree Center for more than nine years, Linder focused on expanding the nonprofit. Under her leadership, the service organization for domestic violence victims grew its budget to $11 million. She also oversaw the construction and funding of its headquarters in north Fresno.

Linder announced her departure in September 2025.

Boys and Girls Club CEO Hannold said her experience would help the nonprofit in its future ventures.
