A driver was arrested for reckless driving after a California Highway Patrol officer reportedly clocked the vehicle traveling 133 mph using LiDAR, according to CHP Fresno on Tuesday.

CHP said the traffic stop led to a further investigation, during which officers located enough cannabis edibles to support charges related to possession for transportation and sales.

The agency reminded drivers that traveling at extreme speeds can reduce reaction time, increase stopping distances, and create dangerous conditions for everyone on the road.

CHP Fresno encouraged motorists to slow down and drive responsibly, saying the goal is for drivers to safely reach their destinations.
