Fresno police responded to a reported domestic disturbance Friday morning at a residence near 11th Street and Burns Avenue, authorities said.

Officers were dispatched to the home at 11:33 a.m. after receiving a report that a son was refusing to leave the residence and was armed with a firearm, the Fresno Police Department told GV Wire.

Police described the situation as an active scene.

Authorities were unable to confirm whether any shots had been fired at the time of publication.

No additional information was immediately available and the scene remains active.
