Fresno police are investigating a fatal shooting that left a 30-year-old man dead Sunday evening.

Officers from the Northwest Policing District responded at 5:47 p.m. to the intersection of Shaw and Dale avenues after reports of a shooting.

They found Danilo Rodas unresponsive with a gunshot wound to the upper body. Despite aid from officers and emergency personnel, Rodas was died at the scene.

Detectives said Rodas had been involved in a disturbance with an unknown individual that led to the shooting.

Authorities are canvassing the area for surveillance footage and witnesses.
