A joint traffic enforcement operation by the Visalia Police Department and the California Highway Patrol resulted in 107 citations, one DUI arrest and three vehicle impounds, authorities said.

The operation was conducted Thursday by the Visalia Police Department’s motors unit in partnership with CHP motors as part of a grant-funded effort within the city.

Police said the DUI arrest followed a pursuit and also included a charge for possession for sale.

The enforcement operation was funded through a grant from the California Office of Traffic Safety via the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration.
