Fresno County Authorities Seeks Help Locating Relatives of Man Who Died

The Fresno County Sheriff-Coroner’s Office is asking for the public’s help in locating relatives of a 48-year-old man who died in Fresno.

Authorities said Van Ter Lee passed away near East Floradora and North Jackson avenues. He is believed to have previously lived in Minnesota, Florida, and Colorado.

Lee is described as 5 feet 6 inches tall and weighing about 175 pounds.

Staff members with the Coroner’s Office have searched numerous personal records but have been unable to locate any family members. Officials said identifying immediate relatives is required before the body can be released for burial.

Anyone with information about Lee’s relatives is asked to contact the Coroner’s Unit at (559) 600-3400 or by email at coroner@fresnosheriff.org.
