A traffic stop Monday afternoon led to the arrest of a man after officers found a handgun in his backpack, authorities said.
Fresno police stopped Randy Delgado Haro, 36, at 3:09 p.m. at Mariposa Street and Waterman Avenue for expired vehicle registration. During the stop, officers discovered a handgun and a large-capacity magazine in Haro’s possession.
Haro was booked into the Fresno County Jail on multiple felony charges. Among them: being a felon in possession of a firearm, carrying a loaded firearm in public, possession of prohibited ammunition, and possession of a large-capacity magazine.
Authorities identified Haro as an active gang member. His bail totals $215,000.
