Visalia Shooting Leaves Teen Dead, Another Injured at Linnell Camp

A shooting at Linnell Camp in Visalia on Saturday night left one teenage boy dead and another injured, the Tulare County Sheriff’s Office said.

Just after 9 p.m., a Farmersville police officer heard what was believed to be gunshots coming from the Linnell Camp area on North Mariposa Street. Farmersville police officers and Tulare County Sheriff’s Office deputies responded immediately.

When they arrived, authorities found two teenage boys suffering from gunshot wounds. CPR was initiated on one victim, but he was unresponsive. Ambulance personnel arrived shortly after and took over.

Both victims were transported to a local hospital, where one died from his injuries. The other is expected to recover, authorities said.

Detectives with the Tulare County Sheriff’s Office Homicide Unit responded to the scene and are investigating.
