An evacuation advisory has been issued in Madera County due to a structure fire near Road 423 and Wortham Road, according to Madera Aware.

The advisory affects the area identified as MAD-E0441, near Road 423 and Wortham Road. Officials said emergency personnel are responding to the scene.

Road closures are in effect at Road 423 and Wortham Road as crews work the incident.

Authorities urged residents to monitor conditions and be prepared to leave immediately if necessary, warning not to wait for a mandatory evacuation order if they feel threatened.

An evacuation advisory means residents should be ready to leave at a moment’s notice as conditions can change quickly.
