The Sanger Police Department conducted a traffic enforcement operation Monday targeting violations identified as primary causes of collisions, resulting in 15 citations, including two issued to unlicensed drivers.
The operation, funded through a California Office of Traffic Safety grant, focused on “Primary Collision Factors,” which are violations that contribute to the majority of crashes in the city, the department said in a statement.
Officers made a total of 17 traffic stops during the operation. Violations cited included speeding, running red lights, and failing to stop at stop signs.
Police reminded drivers to obey traffic laws, remain courteous on the road, and reduce speeds to help prevent collisions.
