Two teenage girls escaped an attempted kidnapping in the Los Angeles community of North Hills on Sunday after jumping from a suspect’s vehicle, ABC7 reported.

The girls, ages 13 and 16, were approached three times near North Hills Community Park and later accepted a ride. Instead of taking them to their destination, the driver headed to a secluded residential area, locked the doors and offered money, alcohol, and drugs, police said.

The suspect then demanded sexual favors. One girl exited while the car was stopped, and the other jumped from the moving vehicle. Neither was injured.

The suspect, described as a man in his early 20s, remains at large.
