A 27-year-old documented gang member was arrested Friday after Madera police said he was found in possession of a concealed, loaded firearm, narcotics, and ammunition.

A Madera officer was investigating a stalking allegation when he discovered that Michael Arreazola, a convicted felon prohibited from possessing firearms, was allegedly in possession of a handgun, according to the Madera Police Department.

The officer relayed the information to Special Investigations Unit investigators, who later that day contacted Arreazola during a traffic stop. Police said investigators found him with a concealed, loaded firearm on his person, along with narcotics and ammunition.

Arreazola was taken into custody without incident and booked into the Madera County Jail.
