Claude Goes Down for Thousands, Downdetector Reports

Claude AI experienced a possible outage Tuesday, according to Downdetector.com.

More than 6,800 users had reported problems with the platform as of 1:03 p.m. PT, according to Downdetector, which tracks outages by collecting status reports from multiple sources.

Most users who reported an issue to Downdetector said that they had issues with Claude Chat.

Claude’s status checker says, “A fix has been implemented and we are monitoring the results.” 

Update at 2:04 p.m.

After a period when reports had slowed, new reports began to surge again, with more than 10,000 users now reporting issues with Claude AI.

Claude’s status checker now says, “We are currently investigating this issue. We have identified mitigations which we are continuing to regularly employ as we investigate the root cause.”
