The California Department of Transportation announced scheduled lane closures this week on Highway 41 in Fresno County for asphalt pavement repairs.

Caltrans said the No. 2 lane along northbound Highway 41 from Sumner Avenue to just north of Adams Avenue will be closed Tuesday from 8 a.m. to 11 a.m. for pavement repairs.

A second closure on northbound Highway 41 is scheduled Tuesday from 11 a.m. to 2:15 p.m., when the No. 2 lane from just north of Lincoln Avenue to just north of American Avenue will be closed.

On Wednesday, the No. 2 lane along southbound Highway 41 from just north of Central Avenue to just north of American Avenue will be closed from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Another closure is scheduled Thursday from 8 a.m. to 2:15 p.m., when the No. 2 lane along southbound Highway 41 from just south of Central Avenue to south of American Avenue will be closed.

On Friday, the No. 2 lane along southbound Highway 41 from Clayton Avenue to South Avenue will be closed from 8 a.m. to 2:15 p.m.

Officials said closures may continue for longer periods each day if necessary due to weather delays or other uncontrollable events during maintenance.

Caltrans maintenance workers also reminded drivers to use extra caution and allow additional travel time when traveling through the work zones.
