A 38-year-old Fresno man has been arrested on suspicion of attempted murder following a shooting in the Calwa neighborhood that left another man wounded, authorities said.
Antonio Espinoza was booked into the Fresno County Jail with bail set at $500,000, the Fresno County Sheriff’s Office announced.
Deputies responded around 5:30 p.m. Tuesday to a report of a shooting on the 2400 block of South 11th Street. They found a 25-year-old man suffering from gunshot wounds. The victim was transported to a hospital with injuries determined to be non-life-threatening.
Investigators identified Espinoza as the suspect at the scene. Authorities said Espinoza lives in the same area as the victim and the two men know each other. The shooting reportedly stemmed from a conflict between the two, and officials described it as an isolated incident.
Espinoza was located and arrested later Tuesday night.
