Police are searching for a suspect following a reported stabbing Tuesday afternoon in central Fresno.

The Fresno Police Department received the call at 12:32 p.m. regarding a stabbing near the intersection of Hedges and Wheeler avenues.

Authorities described the situation as “very active” as officers canvassed the area and searched for the suspect.

No additional details about the victim’s condition or a description of the suspect were immediately available.

The investigation remains ongoing.
