A Fresno content creator landed a seat at the 2026 World Series of Poker championship, meaning with right plays — a little luck — she may walk away with the grand prize.

Casinos.com selected Desiree Rodriguez, known for creating content around slot machines, to be the website’s brand ambassador at the tournament. Normally, a seat at the poker tournament costs $10,000.

According to a news release, Rodriguez beat out thousands of other applicants.

“I don’t take this opportunity lightly. There are so many talented players out there, many who specialize in poker exclusively, and I deeply respect that,” Rodriguez said. “To be chosen as someone transitioning from a slots-focused background into poker representation is not something I ever expected.”

Casinos.com: Rodriguez Will Need ‘Nerves of Steel’ to Succeed

Rodriguez has amassed tens of thousands of followers for her content on Instagram and Tik Tok.

The tournament will be held at the Paris Las Vegas Hotel & Casino and the Horseshoe Las Vegas from May 26 to July 15.

Casinos.com senior vice president Lee James Gwilliam, who will also be competing, complimented Rodriguez’s “nerves of steel.” Despite being a brand ambassador, Gwilliam said if they meet at a table, she’ll get no “special treatment.”

“Anyone who confidently spins high volatility slots for fun has to have nerves of steel,” Gwilliam said. “Poker tables have a funny way of humbling people, but they also have a way of revealing who can really handle pressure. From what we’ve seen, Desiree looks like she can handle things just fine.”
