Man Accused of Impersonating Officer After Alleged Theft at Visalia Walmart

Police are asking for the public’s help in identifying a man accused of stealing merchandise from a Walmart store in Visalia and falsely claiming to be a law enforcement officer.

According to the Visalia Police Department, the man arrived at the Walmart on Noble Avenue in a white utility truck that did not have license plates. He parked near the store’s garden section and entered through the garden entrance.

Police said the man selected several items, including men’s jeans, home décor, automotive items, tools, and other merchandise. Investigators allege he then exited the store with the unpaid items.

When confronted, the man reportedly displayed a badge and claimed he was law enforcement, according to police.
