Officers with the Madera Police Department arrested a 20-year-old man early Thursday after responding to a report of a suspicious person posted on the RING application.

Police said officers checked the area of Fairview Avenue and West Third Street after a post described a man riding a bicycle and checking vehicles in the neighborhood.

Officer Okpalaugo located Antonio Bolanos Gutierrez, 20, in the immediate area matching the description, according to police.

During contact, officers found Gutierrez in possession of illegal narcotics and a stolen wallet. Police said he later admitted to entering a vehicle near Willis and Third Street and taking the wallet.

Gutierrez was booked into jail on theft and drug-related charges.
