A 46-year-old Fresno man with a long criminal history was arrested Tuesday after fleeing from deputies in a pursuit that ended without injuries or property damage, authorities said.

Michael Delsid was taken into custody by detectives with the Fresno County Sheriff’s Office Adult Compliance Team on charges including evading police, reckless driving, and multiple probation violations. He also had an outstanding arrest warrant for robbery, domestic violence, violating a protection orde,r and dissuading a victim from testifying. He is currently not eligible for bail.

Deputies attempted to stop Delsid’s pickup truck Tuesday afternoon, but he refused to pull over, prompting a pursuit. At the intersection of Clinton and Marks avenues in Fresno, a deputy performed a Pursuit Intervention Technique, causing Delsid’s vehicle to spin out and strike a curb.

Officers from ACT and other local agencies safely took him into custody.

Delsid has a lengthy criminal record dating back to 1994, including drug, property, and violent crimes. The sheriff’s office said that this was his 36th arrest.

He most recently served six months in Fresno County Jail in 2025 for probation violations and violating a protective order.
