Chinese automakers could hit U.S. showrooms within five to 10 years, potentially reshaping the market for American consumers, CNN reported. 

High tariffs and trade tensions have limited imports, but companies such as Geely’s Zeekr and Lynk & Co. are exploring U.S. factories. Experts say competition may lower prices, especially for electric vehicles, while squeezing profits of domestic automakers.

China leads globally in car production and EV sales, with BYD surpassing Tesla.

White House officials say investment is welcome if national security isn’t threatened. Analysts predict announcements of Chinese U.S. production in the next two to three years, signaling growing market ambitions.
