A $2 million gift from the James G. Boswell Foundation will support general health care at Valley Children’s Hospital.

The hospital announced the gift — bringing Boswell’s total giving over the past three years to $5.5 million — on Tuesday. The money will benefit the Children’s Fund, which supports patients and their families.

Cameron Boswell, vice president of finance and administration for J.G. Boswell Company, said the hospital’s mission aligns with the foundation’s.

“Valley Children’s doesn’t just treat illness; it supports entire families during some of their most difficult moments, and that impact is both immediate and lasting,” Boswell said in a statement. “This gift represents more than financial support. It reflects our belief that every child deserves the opportunity to grow up healthy, have access to excellent care and thrive.”

Children’s Fund Supports Families, Technology, Staffing

The Children’s Fund goes to general health care needs at the hospital, from support for families to further investments in technology, equipment, and staffing for the hospital’s clinical team.

Valley Children’s President and CEO Todd Suntrapak said the money will help the hospital address health needs.

“Their generosity strengthens our ability to respond to the most urgent needs across our network and ensures that every child who walks through our doors receives world-class care,” Suntrapak said in a statement. “We are honored by their continued partnership and inspired by their commitment to helping kids across the Central Valley.”
