The City of Madera Police Department is asking for the public’s help identifying a man captured on surveillance video taking a previous customer’s wallet that had been left behind at a local business.

The department posted the request as part of its “Who Is This Wednesday” feature, saying the unidentified male subject was recorded on camera during the incident.

Anyone who recognizes the suspect or has information is asked to call police at (559) 675-4220 or Crime Stoppers at 498-STOP. Callers can remain anonymous, police said.
